#MusicReview: ‘Always There’ by Sonia:

BACKGROUND

In the spirit of keeping our faith up in this season, I present ‘Always There’ by Sonia. Enjoy!

MUSICALITY

This F sharp major rnb piece with a flavour of pop is quite Neyo-esque in it its rnb qualities, as opposed to a Fred Hammond or BoysIIMen kinda rnb. It gets you on your feet. The lyrics are poetic and really cool, on a spunky beat. Vocals by Sonia are also great, with the bridge also giving the song nice twist. The video is also alright with the incorporation of peoples and races in one dimension. I do think the genre deserves multiple dimensions though, but it’s great.

MESSAGE

I love the fact that it talks about moving forward despite feelings of fear and the storms raging. (You should also take the action point of cast out all fear). Yes, I know a lot of people aspire to have mountain moving faith, but it is also okay to acknowledge where you are and the fact that God has got you and you are pushing through. Cast your care on the One who is always there.
