The 26th of August 2017 was such a great day for the kingdom of God. I stood still as I watched God’s generals march to the front of the Landmark Event Centre Hall. I saw Funmi Adeniyi sashay in, reminding me of the very Nike Adeyemi.
I came for The Festival totally sure that all was settled. All my prayers were answered a long time ago.
I watched as the ushers led the congregation one by one into a higher manifestation of their spiritual inheritance. This was not an ordinary crowd. It was filed with already mature sons of God itching to see God in a new dimension. This ministry makes me see clearly that we are in the end times!
The Sounds of Petra chimed in ‘ The Name of Jesus is More Than Enough’ from sound check and the crowd cheered. Bayo Opaleye energetically led ‘ ‘The Presence of The Lord’, Tasha Cobbs’ ‘ Put a Praise on It’ , Tye Tribbett’s ‘He Turned it’, with awesome trap music intermissions. At this point, I really wished I could dance. It made me think about how God must be such a great dancer though, seeing as He can do all things!
My highlight came when Ayo Jezreel sang ‘We Receive The Rain’ with its powerful prophetic bridge. Titi Victoria’s ‘Arise and Shine’ was very ‘uppity’, as my friend would say. It was upbeat, filled the congregation with faith and got us moving. And we sang it again as a special request because it was just so good!
IBK’s spontaneous gospel rendition reminded me of Vashawn Mitchell’s ‘Nobody Greater’. I was hooked by the line ‘Every time we think of you, our hearts begin to worship’. I feel like IBK’s song was very climatic, with its chord progression plus the anointing of the spirit…duh! It was so amazing he needed no backups, with the bass guitar and drums wowing us. He was superb in his singular spirited rendition with its yoruba-esque tinge I could go on and on about how much I loved it, but #WeMove
God is really to be worshipped. That’s all we need to do. Everything else can wait.
The second hymn ‘ The Battle Hymn of The Republic’ was such a hit, with God’s generals jumping right on their feet and chanting along once they caught the tune.
The Word of God for the night delivered by Pastor Ayo Ajani, which struck my spirit was the fact that in us lies the fullness of the God Head bodily. Thus, there really is no space for sickness.
It was a miracle filled night and a total blast!
